APOLIS VIETNAM

Here is a company named Apolis, they are a company that are all about empowering people through oppotunity instead of charity, they co create products with manufacturers which directly allows the market to determine the future of each item. So for each season they go somewhere new in the world and collaborate with... the local people, i think it is fantastic that they get to go and see what is acutally going in the chosen countries rather than just communicating via email and phones, it makes the vision so much stronger, which is great. I was once told by a very well respected designer "how can you design something when you have not connected with the people your designing for or the other products that have been made" which is something that is very true and these guys have taken it to another level, and even cooler that they got to go round on old skool motorbikes around vietnam with all the clothes they had designed and made themselves, is there a better way to test something, anyway check it out, videos of their trip are on their website...
