For the ongoing list of things I need to do of late i actually achieved one today, this was to visit the infamous 100 Club, i dragged my flatmate Ariane along with me for the ride too (lucky her). Having only seen it from the outside before i didn't really know what was in-store for me, only that it is a bit tatty. We arrived at the venue and the first shock... was that its entrance is part of a office block, so it looks like your going into a bank or something when you walk in, and it is all quite formal in the corridor, then however you proceed to the 100 club sign, which is above a very dark set of stairs. At this point into the journey i was pretty intrigued to see what was inside, we walked down the stairs which had a rather fragrant smell when walking down them. it then gets to a double door into which the club is. At this point i just popped my head in and had a quick look, and to my expectations the place was pretty tatty, but there was something that i was attracted to about this place... It was weird and i dont quite know what it was, maybe the heritage of it or maybe it reminded me of other places id been before, want to go to a night there very soon to have a proper gander!
